So I went out today to run a few errands and made a spur-of-the moment stop at Petsmart to buy a fish. Thus, I ended up with Franklin the Betta fish (named after the street I live on in Roanoke).
He lives above my television, which is a prime location given the March Madness season. [...]

A “commercial” success

Though “commercial” may be pushing it since I wasn’t paid, this certainly wasn’t journalism. But hopefully it’ll open up a few doors in the freelance world.

I spent today playing in the snow in the wake of Roanoke’s largest single day snowfall in nearly three years (7 inches). I made a video of sled riders at a local elementary school (creative, I know…), but I was happy with a technique I used in lieu of shaky video.
