I haven’t posted much. I’ve been really busy with life and such. The only professional update I have is related to the Virginia Press Association awards (I won three :)). You can read about that here.
Above is a video I made for my neighbor’s band, The Lazy Man Dub Band. [...]

The title of this post basically sums it up. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, Cassell is home for the Virginia Tech men and women’s basketball teams and is VERY loud.
Since it was the men’s final home game Wednesday against NC State, fellow RT photographer Matt Gentry suggested I make the long, [...]

I spent Saturday morning on my first ever birding tour with bird and nature expert Clyde Kessler.
I didn’t realize that 215 different species of birds decide to make Radford, Va., their home at some point during the year. Pretty remarkable.
Radford also lays claim to the largest winter roost for vultures in the country, which [...]

After 36 years of operation, the Blacksburg, Va., High School gymnasium collapsed shortly before 1:37 p.m. Saturday. Fortunately, nobody was inside the building when it happened.

Either way, I’d love to hear feedback.

I need to post something real and substantial, I know this. I’m considering turning this blog into something more personal - that way I can upload more pictures of family members, etc. In the meantime, I’m going to post this video. But I’ll add something more later this week (I feel guilty [...]

It’s impressive how much can be accomplished in one day when five people are building a website. Yes, Tuesday was busy. But it was worth it. We built an entire mini-site the day before a monumental trial, and the site has seen great traffic during its first day and a half [...]

While I was home for Thanksgiving, the final Under 21 article was published. This means that the entire project is finally complete! This includes 14 articles, four comprehensive graphics including a Roanoke Times’ survey of all 44 four-year Virginia universities and colleges, a vast collection of videos that includes a 15-minute overview video [...]
