I graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2008 with a double major in journalism and electronic media/broadcasting and a minor in creative writing. I worked for my campus newspaper, The Appalachian, for four years in positions including graphic designer, associate editor and online editor. I also wrote for the Statesville Record & Landmark, The Asheville Daily Planet, Gameday and This Week in Collaborative Business. I enjoy working in electronic media, which includes audio and video documentaries and Flash design. After I finish the Poynter Institute's Summer Fellowship, I would love to work as a multimedia designer for a media Web site. |
