How does Frampton do that?

Updated May 15, 2008: Sorry for the delay, but two new videos are finally posted.

After spending an entire semester taping wind farms, sustainable energy researchers, local mayors, generic nature scenes and more wind farms, Harvesting Wind: North Carolina's Alternative Progress is finally done.

Reflecting back on the piece, I think we do a good job of using satire to show the need for government intervention in order to further our country's sustainable energy industry. America's dependence on oil is obscene, and (to quote Ged Moody) there's just not a good reason why these clean energy methods aren't being utilized. So please give it a look (it's about 18 minutes long) and let me know what you think.

The second piece tackles a far less controversial issue, as I did a profile on local musician Henry Finch. After taking a creative writing class with Henry and talking with him about his music, I thought it would be fun to tape him during a recording session.

I described his music as a pseudo-Western sound, something you would hear in an old saloon. Ironically, the song he records in the video is motivated by the recent fire at Boone Saloon.

Have at it, kids!
